How we pick

inventgo is written by a small, independent team of travel enthusiasts. This is how a product earns a place in our guides.

What we check

• Official specs first. Capacity, output, ports, weight and battery ratings come from the brand's own product or support pages, and we note the date we checked them.
• Travel rules. Anything with a battery is checked against common airline and aviation guidance (for example the 100Wh line for power banks).
• Real travel use. We favour gear that is light, works worldwide and survives sand, salt and long days in transit.
• Clear labels. We say when a guide is based on official information rather than our own use. We don't invent test results, scores or prices.

Badges

"Top pick" means the product we'd suggest for most travellers. "Best for …" picks suit a specific need, such as laptops or fewer cables.

Money
