Heat is one of the main reasons magnetic wireless charging slows down. UGREEN's fix is to put active liquid cooling inside a power bank, unveiled on 3 September 2026 and now on sale. It's been getting attention in the tech press this month, including from Forbes. Here's what UGREEN announced, and what it means if you travel with one.

The MagFlow lineup at a glance

UGREEN unveiled three new MagFlow products at its Smart Living Launch Event in Foxborough, Massachusetts, according to its official press release. All three are listed as available now through the UGREEN official store and Amazon.

MagFlow Pro power bank: what UGREEN claims

Cooling. UGREEN's CryoPulse technology uses a micro-pump to move coolant around the power bank and draw heat away from key components. In UGREEN's own testing at an ambient 77°F (25°C) with an iPhone 17 Pro Max, peak temperature was up to 18°F lower than a 118°F industry benchmark. UGREEN also says temperature rise was cut by up to 44%. Those are manufacturer figures, and UGREEN notes that actual results may vary.

Charging speed. UGREEN says the power bank can charge an iPhone 17 Pro Max to 50% in 40 minutes over Qi2 25W wireless charging. It is Qi2.2 25W certified, according to the product page.

Ports and cable. There are two USB-C ports plus the wireless pad, so it can charge up to three devices at once. Total output is up to 45W, and the power bank itself recharges at up to 30W. The built-in USB-C cable doubles as a carry strap, and UGREEN says it's rated for over 10,000 bends.

Battery and safety. UGREEN uses its Dymondcell 2.0 design with ATL high-density cells and 13 layers of protection. It says the battery survived a nail puncture, crush and 140°C heat tests with no fire or explosion, and kept over 80% capacity after 800 cycles.

Display. A built-in screen shows battery level, charging power, cycle count and cooling status. Cycle count is a handy extra: it helps you spot an ageing battery before a long trip.

Size. It's a 10,000mAh battery weighing about 230g. UGREEN says it delivers 1.36 charges for an iPhone 17 Pro Max and 2.03 for an iPhone 17 Air.

Can you fly with a liquid-cooled power bank?

Airline and regulator power bank rules are written around battery capacity in watt-hours (Wh), how many you carry, and where you pack them. The cooling system doesn't change any of that, and UGREEN's product page says the MagFlow Pro complies with airline regulations.

What the main rules mean for this power bank:

  • Capacity: UGREEN lists it at 10,000mAh. At a typical 3.6 to 3.7V cell voltage, that works out to roughly 36 to 37Wh, well under the 100Wh limit. Check the label on the unit for its exact rating.
  • Carry-on only: power banks are never allowed in checked luggage under FAA and IATA guidance.
  • Quantity: the ICAO addendum in force since 27 March 2026 limits you to two power banks per person, and some airlines allow only one.
  • In-flight use: some airlines, including Emirates and Singapore Airlines, ban using power banks on board. On those flights, you can't use the MagFlow Pro to charge your phone wirelessly mid-flight either. Top up before boarding.

Who it suits (and who should skip it)

It's a good fit if you:

  • Use an iPhone or another Qi2 phone and like snapping a battery on instead of carrying a cable.
  • Have noticed wireless power banks getting hot and slowing down, especially in warm climates.
  • Want a compact, cable-included bank for a day of maps, photos and boarding passes.

Consider something else if you:

  • Need to charge a laptop. A 10,000mAh bank with 45W max output is phone-focused. Larger banks under 100Wh are in our power bank guide.
  • Mostly fly airlines that ban in-flight power bank use, and want a bank mainly for the flight itself.

The MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable is the more travel-specific piece. It charges two devices, folds into a palm-sized clamshell for a bag or pocket, and props up your phone as a stand. Pair it with a multi-port GaN charger and a universal travel adapter with USB-C for a compact hotel setup. Our Anker vs. UGREEN GaN charger comparison can help you pick the wall brick.

FAQ

Is the UGREEN MagFlow Pro really the first liquid-cooled power bank?

UGREEN calls it the world's first visual liquid-cooled Qi2 25W power bank, based on publicly available market information as of September 2026. That's the manufacturer's claim.

Is the MagFlow Pro allowed on planes?

UGREEN says it complies with airline regulations. As with any power bank, carry it in your cabin bag, never in checked luggage, and follow your airline's limits on quantity and in-flight use.

Does it work with Android phones?

UGREEN's materials focus on iPhone. Its MagFlow series page says the foldable 2-in-1 supports iPhone, AirPods and Qi2 devices. Check that your phone supports Qi2 magnetic charging.

How fast does it recharge?

UGREEN lists up to 30W input for recharging the power bank itself.

Can I charge my phone from it during a flight?

It depends on the airline. Emirates and Singapore Airlines ban using power banks on board, and ICAO recommends against it. Where it's allowed, follow the crew's instructions.

When was it announced?

UGREEN unveiled the MagFlow lineup on 3 September 2026, and its press release lists all three products as available now.

Conclusion

The MagFlow Pro is one of the more interesting power bank launches of the season. Active liquid cooling targets the heat problem that slows down magnetic wireless charging, with a built-in cable, cycle-count display and carry-on friendly size. For flying, normal power bank rules apply: carry-on only, within your airline's limits, and don't count on using it mid-flight. For most travellers, the foldable 2-in-1 is the easier pick for the hotel room.
