Forgetting a charging cable is a familiar travel annoyance. You reach a night bus, a hostel bunk or a long layover with a full power bank and nothing to plug your phone in with. OPPO's new 10,000mAh pack, launched in India, solves this by fixing the cable to the battery. It's a small idea, but if you live out of a backpack, it's one less loose item to lose.

A cable you can't forget

The main feature is the 150 mm braided USB-C to USB-C cable, permanently fixed to the pack. According to Gadgets 360, it also works as a loop or lanyard, so you can clip the power bank to a daypack strap or hold it like a wristlet while you walk. The cable is short, so it suits a phone in your hand or pocket rather than one across the room.

You aren't limited to the built-in lead. There's also a separate USB-C port and a USB-A port, so you can charge three devices at once: for example, a phone on the built-in cable, earbuds on USB-C and an older camera or headlamp on USB-A. Low Current Mode is designed for small gadgets like earbuds and smartwatches. These draw so little power that some standard power banks stop charging them.

How much charge you actually get

OPPO quotes 10,000mAh, which is the capacity of the cells. The rated capacity at 5V/3A is 5,600mAh, reflecting the energy lost in conversion. In practice, OPPO says the pack can charge an iPhone 16 about two times, though it notes results vary with use and conditions.

Output tops out at 22.5W. That's quick for phones, and broad protocol support (PD, PPS, QC, UFCS and VOOC) means it should work with most phones from different brands, not just OPPO's. It isn't designed for laptops. If you need to charge a laptop on the move, look at the higher-output options in our best power banks for flying guide. Recharging the pack itself runs at up to 20W, so a USB-C wall charger will refill it overnight easily. There's no display, just a four-level LED indicator.

Carry-on friendly at 37Wh

At 37Wh, the power bank is well under the 100Wh limit that most airlines apply to spare lithium batteries in cabin baggage, so it's within the usual cabin-baggage limit. Power banks must go in your hand luggage, never in checked bags, and some airlines now limit how many you carry or ban using them on board. Our explainer on whether you can bring a power bank on a plane covers the details. Always check your airline's rules before you fly.

At about 185 g and 15.9 mm thick, it's roughly the weight of a large phone and easy to slip into a daypack or jacket pocket.

Availability

OPPO launched the power bank in India alongside the Find X10 series, Pad Mini and Enco X4 earbuds (see our OPPO Enco X4 launch coverage). Pre-orders are open through OPPO's India online store, with sales from 29 October 2026, and Gadgets 360 reports it will be sold through OPPO's official India website and retail stores. It comes in black. For now it's an India-only launch: OPPO hasn't announced other markets, so travellers elsewhere may need to wait or look at alternatives.

Pair it with the basics

A charged phone is only half the job on the move. A travel eSIM keeps maps, ride-hailing and messaging working as soon as you land. Compare Airalo and other providers in our best travel eSIM guide. For longer trips, SafetyWing is one of the options in our travel insurance guide for digital nomads.

Our take

A built-in cable isn't new, but OPPO's version is a smart fit for backpackers. A braided lead that doubles as a carry loop, a third port for older USB-A gear, and a Low Current Mode for earbuds and watches cover the small gadgets most of us travel with. It's a phone-focused pack, not a laptop charger, and for now it's an India launch. If it reaches more markets, it's a good, light everyday option. Until then, our power banks for flying guide lists widely available alternatives.
